Cancellation policy

These Cancellation Terms apply to all reservations made directly with City & Solent Stays. By placing a booking, guests agree to the conditions outlined below. Different cancellation rules apply depending on the length of stay.

1. Short and Medium Stays (Up to 28 Nights)

1.1 Free Cancellation

Cancellations made 7 days or more before the arrival date are fully refundable.

A full refund will be issued to the original payment method.

1.2 Cancellations fewer than 7 days before arrival

If a cancellation is made fewer than 7 days before arrival, 50% of the total booking value will be charged and 50% will be refunded

1.3 No-Shows

Failure to arrive without prior cancellation will be treated as a no-show, and the full booking value will be charged.

2.3 Early Departures

Once the stay has commenced, unused nights are non-refundable.

2. Long-Term Stays (28+ Nights)

2.1 Free Cancellation

Guests may cancel free of charge 14 days or more before the scheduled arrival date.

2.2 Cancellations Fewer Than 14 Days Before Arrival

If cancelled fewer than 14 days before arrival:

  • The first 28 days are strictly non-refundable
  • Any additional months (beyond the first 28 days) are fully refundable

2.3 Early Departure After Check-In

  • The first 28 days are strictly non-refundable once the stay begins
  • Refunds for subsequent months will follow the terms of the signed long-stay agreement
  • If the booking used a discounted monthly rate, City & Solent Stays reserves the right to reprice the used nights at the appropriate shorter-stay rate before calculating any refund

3. Reservation Amendments

  • All changes to arrival dates, departure dates, guest numbers, or length of stay are subject to availability.
  • Additional charges may apply if the revised dates fall under a higher rate period.

4. Exceptional Circumstances

In exceptional situations (e.g., medical emergencies, documented travel disruptions), we may, at our discretion, review cancellation requests on an individual basis.

Supporting documentation may be required.

5. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Processing times may vary depending on the guest’s bank or payment provider.
